AgoTide Privacy Policy

About this policy

AgoTide is developed and operated by 王太然 (Wang Tairan), an individual developer. It helps you record recurring activities without registering an AgoTide account. This policy explains how the current app and this policy website handle information. Effective September 14, 2026.

Information on your device

The app stores item titles, icons, notes, categories, recurrence and reminder rules, completion dates and notes, lifecycle states, record identifiers and timestamps, and preferences on your device. These support activity history, due-date calculations and reminders. Notes may contain personal or sensitive information you choose to enter. The app does not request access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone, camera or HealthKit data.

Optional iCloud sync

iCloud sync is an optional Pro feature that you enable in Settings. It sends your items, completion history, categories, reminder rules and shared preferences to the private database of your Apple iCloud account to sync across your devices. Record identifiers, revision timestamps and a randomly generated app installation identifier are used to merge changes; the identifier is not an advertising identifier. Apple operates iCloud and processes service information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not operate a server for your activity records, and private CloudKit records are not visible to us in the developer console. Turning sync off keeps local and cloud records and cannot recall requests already sent. System backups may also contain app data according to your device settings, even when app sync is off.

Notifications and widgets

With your permission, iOS schedules local reminders that can display item titles and due information. You can change or revoke notification permission in system Settings and control notification previews. The app and its widget share a local summary containing item identifiers, titles, icons, completion and due dates, and widget access state. Widget content may be visible to anyone who can view that screen. You can remove widgets using system controls. iCloud may use background notifications to deliver sync changes.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases and payments. The app uses StoreKit transaction and app purchase information to verify Pro access and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card or bank account details. Purchase entitlement checks are performed through Apple; purchase state is not uploaded as an activity sync record.

Tracking and sharing

The app contains no advertising, third-party analytics or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell activity records or use them for advertising, cross-app tracking or data brokerage. Optional iCloud sync and StoreKit communicate with Apple as described above. Apple may separately process diagnostics according to your system or TestFlight settings; this is not an in-app analytics service.

Retention and deletion

You can view, edit and delete items and completion records in the app. Deletion removes them from the visible history. The current version retains synchronization records, including deletion markers and previous field contents, on the device and, if synced, in iCloud, without automatic expiry. Deleting an item is therefore not complete erasure of its stored content. Pausing, archiving, turning sync off or uninstalling the app does not erase iCloud records. This version has no in-app command to erase all cloud data. Where available, Apple’s iCloud storage controls let you manage app data; backups and other devices must be managed separately. Before clearing cloud data, disable sync on all devices to prevent local records from being uploaded again.

Your choices and security

You can use local activity tracking without enabling iCloud or notifications. Device and iCloud security depend on Apple’s platform protections and your settings; no absolute security guarantee is made. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or withdraw consent. You can use the app’s controls or contact the developer below. The current export screen is a placeholder and does not export data. The developer cannot directly view or erase your private iCloud records; deletion requests require the device and Apple account controls described above.

Operator: 王太然 (Wang Tairan), individual developer. For questions about this policy, personal information or data deletion, email tairan.wang@live.com. If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send, and use them to respond and handle your request. Email is processed by the email service provider. Please send only what is needed and do not send passwords or payment details. Correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and meet applicable legal obligations; you can request its deletion through the same address.

Policy website

The public policy is available at https://agotide.tairan.org/. Netlify hosts this website, and Cloudflare provides DNS resolution. To deliver and protect the website, these providers process technical information such as network addresses and request details under their respective privacy policies. Cloudflare is configured for DNS only and does not proxy the website content. The policy pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising or forms, and do not use cookies or browser storage. Reading the policy inside the app does not load the website. Apple’s services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Policy updates

If data handling changes, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy information. The effective date identifies the current policy. Any additional permissions required for new features will be requested when needed.
